21st Anniversary of the Club House

1959: A cake to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Clubhouse. The Club House in Alma Road was opened in 1938 by Mr. F.C. Ihlee (see Sports Club Facilities for relevant photographs)

50th Anniversary of the Sports Club

The Sports Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 1960. By then there were 2000 members. Each Sports Club section put on a match, show or display. The 75th Anniversary

In 1985 the Sports and Social Club celebrated its 75th anniversary, adopting the slogan "We're 75 in 85".

To mark this occasion, a number of different events and social activities were organized by both individual Sections and the Sports Club itself. Various commemorative items were made available, some as gifts and others for purchase at nominal prices.

The culmination of the celebrations was an Anniversary Ball held at the Alma Road Clubhouse on 28th September 1985.
